Middleton Waters is the second residential development scheme offered by GCV and delivered by Homes by Carlton, providing investors an opportunity to invest in the purchase of a single residential development site in Middleton St George, County Durham for development and sale of 50 residential units.

Homes by Carlton (MSTG1 DevCo) Limited (“DevCo”), a special purpose vehicle, has been setup to co-invest and develop the 50 high quality family homes.

GCV raise £0.9 million of equity investment to co-invest alongside a specialist institutional investor and the senior debt provider.

Transparently is a Legal communication tracking and management platform, formed with the intention of placing integrity at the heart of all negotiation. Transparently’s platform can be applied to all legal negotiation within corporate, commercial and family law. Typically the platform is able to support contract negotiation, business formation and dissolution, employment contract negotiations, lease agreements and partner negotiations.

As part of the venture building process GCV are working closely with the founders Becki Cassia and Steve Stewart on developing their technology through the creation of the platform and converting the build cost into equity. GCV are now preparing the business for launch and scale in 2020.

About Fame Media Tech

Established in 2018, Fame Media Tech’s mission is to transform visitor and customer experiences through interactive technology.

G-Labs have worked with co-founders Bryan Hoare and David Courtney to shape and create a tech company that leverages the existing value in the Walk of Fame trademark by creating visitor experience solutions through an innovative platform.

The Fame Media Tech platform will increase dwell time and footfall and average spend per user, whilst enhancing the overall customer/visitor/fan experience. The Platform’s competitive advantage includes the exclusive use of a UK trademark term which can be incorporated into any of their experience solutions.

The G-Labs team have supported on brand development, website development and in the creation of a tech stack. The business is now investor ready to launch and scale in early 2020.

Founded in 2011 by entrepreneurs Daniel Rodgers and Ronnie Forbes, QikServe is the enterprise platform for guest self-service in hospitality. Using any channel from kiosks and tablets to web and mobile apps, hospitality operators can provide powerful in-store solutions from ordering to payment, giving guests the convenience to order and pay for their food and drinks whenever and however they want.

In 2018 GCV coinvested into QikServe alongside Maven Capital Partners in a funding round that exceeded it’s initial target and resulted in a fund raise of £2.6 million.

About Bank North

B-North are a start-up established to build a challenger bank focused on lending to the small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) that drive the UK economy.

The experienced board and management team at B-North are combining market-leading cloud-native technology with people to deliver a superior banking service to the SME market for clients typically seeking between £0.5 to £5M loans.

In June 2018, Growth Capital Ventures began working with the start-up established to build a challenger bank to raise seed capital of circa £4.5 million. This initial round of funding enabled B-North to progress with their banking license, assemble a highly-experienced and ambitious management team, and further develop their FinTech enabled lending platform. Following on from the seed round, GCV have continued to support B-North is raising further funds through a second round of investment in December 2019, resulting in a further £2.8 million of investment.

The latest round of investment places B-North in a position to further strengthen the existing management team and continue building the infrastructure ready for launching the bank later in the year.

CoreHaus significantly reduces construction times, build costs and has less impact on the environment than more traditional homes. The design offers the flexible combination of being part modular, with a standard, engineered core, that can then be configured to different sizes.

CoreHaus works in partnership with Fusion21, Homes by Carlton and Frameclad to create to design, manufacture and deliver high quality, sustainable homes across a mix of tenures.

The Lightrooms is a single commercial development scheme offered by GCV and delivered by Carlton & Co (“Carlton”). The Scheme will provide investors an opportunity to invest in the purchase of a single commercial development site for commercial development and sale of 14 office units in Aycliffe Business Park, County Durham.
